MEET THE STAFF!
Nancy Benedict, owner of The
Knitter's Cottage, quite literally does it all. She is a long-time knitter who
harbors both a love of the craft and a storehouse of knowledge when it comes to technique
and product! An astute business woman, Nancy has created a knitting shop that offers
the popular and sought-after yarns demanded by skilled and amateur knitters alike.
Her classes have grown in both number and variety and the after-hours knitting
get-together, that she fondly calls "Knit Night," is a great place to meet new
friends.
Suzy Ritenour has been teaching both
our workshop-style classes and advanced technique classes since joining the staff in July
2002. An experienced quilter, seamstress and knitter, she brings a wealth of
knowledge to The Knitter's Cottage. From fixing a mistake to reworking a pattern,
Suzy has the expertise to help you with all your knitting projects.
Anne
Nourse has been teaching both knitting and crochet since we opened
the store. She is a very talented in both the art of knitting and crochet
and teaches specialty classes such as knitting socks and many other projects.
You can find Anne in the shop on Thursdays.
Karlene Browder is an accomplished knitter with many years of
experience. You can find Karlene doing any number of tasks around The Cottage on
various days of the week. Knitting a sock? One of Karlene's claims to fame are
her knitted socks.
